The 31st Annual Louie Bing Classic was just plain fun.  Cool windy conditions on Friday gave way to warmer and less gusty conditions for the Finals on Saturday.  Always a staple on the South Florida track circuit, for the first time ever #LouieBing was contested in Broward County at Miramar's Ansin Sports Complex due to ongoing renovations at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami.

Friday's field finals and track preliminaries saw St. Thomas Aquinas atop the leaderboard in the team competition for both the girls and boys.

At the end of the competition Saturday evening, the Northwestern Lady Bulls had pulled away significantly from St. Thomas to notch another victory for the 6 time defending State champions.   Northwestern saw strong winning performances in the Relay events and individual wins on the track from Girls Meet MVP Timetria Mitchell who notched victory in the 100m and 300m hurdle events.  Northwestern tallied 182 points with runner-up St. Thomas scoring 124.5 and 2014 State 2A runner-up Hallandale Chargers getting third place with 86.

The boys competition was never in question as St. Thomas took Friday's lead from the field and prelims into Saturday's finals competion and easily outdistanced the competition scoring 108.  Flagler Palm Coast on the strength of their balanced attack, notably with wins in the Boys 4x800 and 18 points in the Pole Vault, tallied 64.  Carol City finished 3rd with 58.
